Muscle Shoals, ALABAMA— Officials with Listerhill recently announced that the $686 million credit union has been awarded a Malcolm Baldrige Level 2-Progress Toward Excellence Award. The award recognizes Listerhill for performance excellence through innovation, improvement, and efficiency.

“We are honored that Listerhill has been recognized by the Baldrige Program for this important award,” said Brad Green, President/CEO of Listerhill. “From northwest Alabama to south central Tennessee, we are committed to delivering service, innovation, and value to all our members, and we're proud of our people who deliver this recognized level of excellence every day.”

“Our employees own this commitment, not only for the members and communities we serve, but ultimately to each other,” said Joyce Bates, Chief Administrative Officer for Listerhill. “We’re proud of the way our team members have embraced the spirit of this process and are rising to the challenge.”

Back in 2014, Listerhill began evaluating its internal systems to improve the member service experience. In The Fall, examiners from the AlaQuest Center for Performance Excellence completed independent evaluations, also visiting branches and making recommendations for performance improvement.

Officials from the AlaQuest Center for Performance Excellence were recently onhand for an afternoon ceremony held in the Listerhill Auditorium in Muscle Shoals to present Listerhill with the Baldrige Level 2-Progress Toward Excellence Award. Linda Vincent, Award Administrator with the AlaQuest Center, presented Green and Listerhill with the award at a gathering that included local business officials, various dignitaries, and Listerhill employees.

“This process is about continual improvement,” said Green. “Our employees have bought into this process and our members are starting to see more results in how we are able to better serve their financial needs more efficiently.”
