2020 Scholarship Contest

Learn more about our scholarship opportunities and how you can get involved!

Every year we give scholarships to high school seniors. This year we are giving away one $5,000 Listerhill Excellence scholarship and one $2,500 People's Choice scholarship. To top that off, we are giving $1,000 to the schools of this years' winners!

Contest Details

Each year, we host the Listerhill Scholarship Contest and invite students from all over North Alabama and southern Tennessee to answer the question "How will your education benefit your community?" The first place winner will receive a $5,000 Listerhill Excellence scholarship, selected by the Listerhill Scholarship Committee. One runner up, chosen by the community, will receive a People's Choice $2,500 scholarship. For the People's Choice $2,500 scholarship, the community will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite submissions from March 16th, 2020 - March 20th, 2020. This scholarship will be decided completely by the community's votes. These scholarships are applicable at any college of the student's choice!

Video Recommendations & Grading Criteria

All students are encouraged to be as creative as possible when recording their scholarship video. We love seeing the incorporation of props, educational assets, music, guests, and more in video submissions.

Please see our Grading Criteria (below) to learn more about how the Listerhill Scholarship Committee judges the student videos for the Listerhill Excellence $5,000 scholarship.
