Listerhill Launches Mobile Banking

Since November, multiple media outlets have reported that consumers have been paying attention to credit unions more than ever before. However, they might just be reluctant to switch from their current relationships because of all the bells and whistles they have with their “big” financial institutions.
According to Listerhill Credit Union, these consumers have yet another good reason to be a member of the 17-branch credit union.
“We’re proud to announce that we are officially launching Listerhill Mobile, which will offer our members free mobile banking services using any device,” said Brad Green, President/CEO of Listerhill Credit Union. “For anyone who believes that a credit union may not have the same technology as larger financial institutions, Listerhill is here to show that we’re paying attention to our members’ needs for access and convenience.”
Listerhill Marketing Director Kristen Mashburn says that while personal member service is always a top priority, Listerhill has worked to stay ahead of the curve when using technology to enhance a member’s experience.
“With the explosion of mobile capabilities over the past couple of years, we felt our services needed to anticipate demand,” explained Mashburn. “Our members will be pleased at what they are able to do with Listerhill Mobile.”
In addition to online banking capabilities, Listerhill members will now be able to check their balances, view transaction history, transfer funds between accounts, and locate branches and ATMs by downloading the Listerhill Mobile app or accessing any smartphone’s internet browser. Mashburn says that text banking will also be available, allowing a user to complete transactions using the text functions on their mobile devices.
“It’s important that credit unions use technology to their members’ advantage while still holding on to principles of great member service and cost effectiveness,” said Green. “We think Listerhill Mobile will accomplish these objectives by appealing to members who are adopting new technologies.”
