History & Purpose

In 1952, seven Reynolds Metals employees came together with $5 each and an idea of creating a credit union that was member-owned and member-focused. Service was their only motivation, which added value to being a member.

We have grown from an office at Reynolds Metals to 17 branches throughout Northwest Alabama. Today, we serve 12 counties in Northwest Alabama with a full line of financial services. Our purpose and commitment to value has never changed.

Listerhill Credit Union is a member-owned financial institution whose purpose is to improve the quality of life for the membership by providing cost effective services to meet their financial needs while maintaining financial soundness and promoting the credit union philosophy.
